Her previous job was a Special Investigator in the New York Division and she was specialized in counterintelligence investigations. The work she did included assessing threats to security, conducting classified investigations on suspected foreign agents, and carrying out activities undercover. Asha acquired experience while working with the FBI on techniques for interviewing and electronic surveillance. Additionally, she was educated about firearms, deadly force and various methods for interrogation. Asha graduated from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and was awarded an Fulbright to pursue constitutional change in Bogota. Her law degree was obtained through Yale Law School, where she was an Coker Fellow and a law clerk for the Judge Juan R. Torruella of the U.S. Court of Appeals First Circuit located in San Juan Puerto Rico. She is a member of state bar associations in New York, Connecticut and Connecticut.
